ADHD is often talked about in terms of focus and attention, but for many people, especially those diagnosed later in life, the emotional impact runs much deeper. You may have grown up being told you were lazy, unmotivated, or not trying hard enough, and those messages can stay with you.
My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, with the goal of helping you feel understood and less alone in your experience. This is a space where you don’t have to explain everything perfectly or have the “right words”, we’ll make sense of things together, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Some sessions may focus on unpacking the frustration, shame, or self-doubt that can come with ADHD, while others may be more focused on building practical strategies for organization, focus, and daily life. We work toward helping you feel more steady, capable, and confident in how you move through your world.
In-person sessions take place in a quiet, comfortable, and easily accessible office where you can feel at ease. Virtual sessions are also available across Ontario, offering flexibility in how you access support.
I work with individuals navigating attention challenges, emotional overwhelm, self-esteem, and the lasting impact of feeling misunderstood, helping you better understand your brain and find ways to work with it, not against it.
Space to understand your mind differently

Approaches we Use in ADHD Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - Focuses on understanding how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected, and building practical tools to shift patterns that aren’t working.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) - Helps your brain process and heal from distressing or stuck experiences so they feel less overwhelming and no longer hold the same emotional intensity.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) - Supports you in managing intense emotions, building coping skills, and finding balance between acceptance and change.
Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) - Helps you better understand, process, and express your emotions so you can feel more connected to yourself and others.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) - Explores the different “parts” of you with curiosity and compassion, helping you create more inner balance and self-understanding.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) - Helps you gradually face fears or intrusive thoughts while learning to reduce compulsive responses, so they feel less powerful and take up less space in your life.

A therapy session is one hour. The frequency of sessions depends on the individual's needs and goals, with many clients attending weekly initially and then adjusting based on progress. Your therapist will work collaboratively with you to determine the most effective schedule.
